Couldnt believe how cute this place was. It's like eating at home but not at home. If that makes sense. It's so quaint and cozy. They asked right off the bat if we had allergies or restrictions. We told them we were vegan and they came over with a vegeterian and vegan menu. The server also assured us that the chef would come to the table and talk to us to see what we wanted. Made it more personal and intimate.

The chef was so sweet. She makes fresh pastries along with great cuisine. After talked she made us a tofu scramble sandwich with vegan cheese. Potatoes were an 8 out of 10. Def needed a little more seasoning and could have been a tad softer. But again thays nit picking. That's how good the meal was. The apple cinnamon Spiced vegan donut was everything. The cake was rich yet light. And the cream was over the top amazing.

We will be back for sure when we are in the area. It was nice getting out of providence dining scene for a change. Staff was all around polite and helpful.

This place was strange.  Half-realized homey decor.  It is supposed to be eccentric but it felt forced.  No omelettes on the menu at a breakfast place?  Staff was extremely young and inexperienced.  Noted that the table next to me complained about a hair in their food and their food was returned way too fast for it to have been cooked fresh.  I asked for lemon with my diet coke and they do not provide lemons due to 'sanitary reasons'.  Whose issue is that?  This was all too weird so we left a few bucks and went to get an omelette.

I am so glad I decided to come here today! While I was on the hunt for gluten free friendly places, the Purple Rooster popped up, and today I decided to give it a try! I'm a student so I was planning to stock up a little and get something to bring back for dinner too. I ordered the chicken quesadilla - the FIRST gluten free quesadilla I've found - and was so happy with it! I mean, a good quesadilla is basic and I've been craving one! Along with that came some super tasty corn chowder. The cook (possibly also the owner) was incredibly friendly, and I chatted with both her and the waiter while I ate. I got another sandwich to bring home for dinner (that I am absolutely looking forward to eating! Not having to worry about finding more gluten free food available at my school is wonderful for the evening!) as well as a few baked goods that I can't wait to try! I will most certainly be back to this adorable, quirky, and friendly restaurant! Everything was so reasonably priced too, especially for gluten free food which can often get quite expensive!

Did a search for vegan food and this came up first with 4 stars. Yikes! So far off base.

Cute inside with mismatched tables and chairs, quirky is good! The employees are super nice and friendly. They need an exhaust fan in the open kitchen, it was hazy and hard to breathe and I still smell like grilled food.

I was surprised that there were very few vegan items on the menu. I ordered the veggie burger and my husband the veggie grilled cheese. The burger was decent, I got it with home fries. Portion was not big, but okay. The grilled cheese sandwich was quite small and extremely salty. He got veggie stix which turned out to be sour cream and onion flavor, also super salty. The coleslaw on the side was tasty, but very spicy. We like spicy food, but this was surprising.

Overall the food is ok and overpriced and this is not a place to go for healthy or vegan food.

I generally don't do negative reviews, but I felt mislead by the other reviews.

Service is horrible and the food is terrible!  Cook shouted a few times that "I'm the only one back here" to another table... we smelled so bad walking out... reeking of grease... ventilation needs to be addressed!
Very disappoint to pay good money for a meal & leave it on the table...
